Hi! I’m Kim.

For over the last 36 years, I’ve been honored to provide a customized 1 to 1 experience in my salon suite as I wash the toxins right out of my client’s hair. Traditional hair color can be really damaging to the skin with all of the extra chemicals and many of my clients come to me because they have hair or scalp sensitivities.

I use organic, vegan hair products from my color to my smoothing treatment so that you can have all of the results that you want without worrying about a lot of bad chemicals. I specialize in organic color and smoothing treatments. You’ll experience beautiful, healthier hair with the use of all organic products and enjoy one-on-one personalized service that embraces both creativity and individuality.

Organic Products

I know a lot of my clients have sensitivities to chemicals and autoimmune issues so I make sure to use products that are organic and vegan. I use CØR Original Minerals Color and OXO Smoothing Treatment.

CØR.color by Original Minerals

uses a progressive new colour technology–Molecular Blend Technology (MBT). This revolutionary colouring system pre-links base and reflects colour pigments, allowing them to develop more effectively and evenly, giving superior coverage while minimising the risk of scalp irritation. It does not include ammonia, PPD, resorcinol for those who are sensitive to these chemicals.

OXO Smoothing Treatment

is known to be the safest permanent straightening technique. The OXOSmoothing Treatment is a formaldehyde-free smoothing treatment that is rich in organic ingredients and achieves stellar, frizz-free results. It’s the only straightening product shampooed 100& off the hair before using the flat iron. It’s great because it uses all organic and great for all hair types.

Organic Hair FAQ

Why Organic?

20 years ago, I read an article that said hairdressers have lungs second to coal miners. Now, I am sure there are many reasons for this, but it scared me. So I sought out organic when and where I could and that was before it was deemed “cool” to do so. The clientele I had at the time was concerned that it wouldn’t be the same as “regular” color. It can do all the same things as “regular” color and reduces the risk of your skin reacting negatively to the color.

What if I have color sensitivities?

If you have experienced this to previous color treatments, I prefer to have you come in and do a patch test. So, far only 2 people have reacted to this. A patch test is a spot of color put on behind your ear, you go home with it and wear it for 24 hours and we see how it reacts.

What do my products not have that traditional color can have and the effects of them?

Ammonia- can cause respiratory and skin irritation,
Resorcinol- toxic to wildlife and human immune system,
PPD(P-paraphenyldiamine)-can cause dermatitis, reddening of the scalp and face
